Say “Yes”… to … what?

This past week has been challenging. Due to some lingering dental pain before and after my root canal, I suspect the only things I have said “YES” to have been pharmaceuticals, sleep, and movie rentals. I am, of course, exaggerating somewhat.

  • Friday evening, I attended a concert of my ex-housemate, Ken Brown at the Registry Theatre in Kitchener. Ordinarily, I tend to frequent live music venues that offer a good selection of food and drink and certainly *not* when I’m tired and in pain. However, he is a a wonderful musician and, in the end, it was a wonderful show!
  • I have not yet taken the role of timer at a Toastmasters meeting. I suppose it is because I find the particulars of the role to be dull – I would rather be verbally expressing myself, rather than buttoning it up and keeping my eye on a stop watch. However, with no timer for this week’s meeting, I agreed to take the role and said “YES” to another tick in my Competent Leadership (CL) manual.
