I love making people laugh. This has been my forté for the majority of my Toastmasters career thus far because I am good at it. However, how can we find out if indeed we excel in other areas if we’re not willing to leave out comfort zones and try something new? Last week, I presented an emotion-provoking dramatic story, and much to my elation, it was not only comfortable – it provided a perfect stage! What I discovered is that I enjoy and delight in dramatic passion – I can drive myself to depths of emotions that I didn’t know I was capable of within the confines of rigidly defined boundaries. The success of this endeavor inspired me to accept the challenge of presenting an education session with little notice. I love evaluations. Thus, it seemed fitting to select “Evaluate to Motivate” as my first education session from the Successful Club Series.
